Jake Gruber, Managing Partner.


Jake Gruber is a highly experienced disaster recovery professional with strong FEMA Public Assistance Program knowledge, known to be a passionate advocate for recovering communities. With 15 years experience implementing the Public Assistance Program to some of the most devastated and most notable disaster damaged communities and public facilities, Jake Gruber is a Disaster Recovery veteran able to assist recovering communities and public institutions navigating all the programmatic requirements.

Mr. Gruber’s experience includes a successful track record of coordinating and managing the Public Assistance Disaster Recovery for local governments, public institutions and Not-For-Profit organizations, overseeing the grant application and facility restoration process of hospitals, educational institutions, recreation centers, auditoriums, parks, municipal buildings, and community infrastructure such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, wastewater treatment plants, sewer collection systems, water purification and distribution systems.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Gruber gained distinction with significant recovery accomplishments supporting the City of Slidell and the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, two of the most devastated Public Assistance applicants in southeastern Louisiana. Jake’s work at the City of Slidell was recognized by being awarded the Katrina Angel Award, given in recognition for his dedication to the City’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

Since Hurricane Sandy’s devastating hit to New York City and Long Island in 2012, Jake Gruber has been supporting Adjuster’s International, lead contractor to New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services as the Critical Infrastructure Group, Task Force Lead (TFL) In this position, Jake was responsible for the Critical Infrastructure Group Project Formulation and Grant Management phases of the region’s key facilities and applicants including Health and Hospital Corporation (Coney Island and Bellevue Hospitals), Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), NYU Langone Hospital and NYU University, New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) and New York City Department of Transportation, successfully overseeing approximately six billion dollars in facilities restoration and mitigation funding.
