Heavy Equipment Replacement

FEMA’s Project Worksheet to fund the replacement of the NOSWB’s flooded fleet of heavy equipment estimated the S&WB loss at $2.2 million. This estimate did not capture the actual loss suffered by the S&WB.

Jake Gruber and his team prepared a detailed loss package revising the estimated loss, substantiating a much greater loss due to significant aftermarket improvements and customization of the NOSWB’s specialty equipment received after it was purchased from the manufacturer and prior to being placed into service.

The Heavy Equipment Replacement PW revision resulted in a new PW providing more than $10 million for the purchase of new equipment.
